About Songbird Under a German Moon: The year is 1945. The truth will be revealed under a German moon.My Review: I am a fairly easy to please reader and enjoy most types of fiction - historical romantic suspense novels included - and I found this book to be an easy and enjoyable read. The characters were believable and I was drawn into the storyline.
I definitely learned a few things in regards to the history. I hadn't known about Wagner's opera being an "inspiration" for Hitler - and I've taken (and passed!) a few music history courses. I also learned some sad yet realistic things about post-war conditions. So, definitely a winner on the "historical" part.
As far as the romance - it was fairly believable, nothing too out of the ordinary with a fairly obvious progression of their relationship.
The suspense part was a bit disappointing insofar as I had figured out the whodunnit fairly early on, though the details of it all are quite interesting when revealed at the end.
All in all, I would definitely recommend this novel if sweet, historical, somewhat suspenseful fiction is your cup of tea!
